All classes have a regular art session and specific classes take part in special projects througout the year such as -
Writing Through Art - providing pupils with the opportunity to respond to arch through writing using the art collection at Kenwood House.
Take One Picture - Using a painting as a creative stimulus for cross curriculum development to create cubes in video form for a National Gallery exhibition.
Refugee Week Art Competion - creating a sculpture for Islington Council's Refugee Week art competition.
Elthorne Park, one of our local green spaces, now has new viewing windows in the walls of its Peace Garden designed by Ashmount pupils.
The National Association for Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NADFAS) have kindly awarded Ashmount a grant for an artwork, HAPPY/SAD. The NADFAS governors visited the school and observed our talented children expressing happy and sad feelings. Julie Beech, a local artist, has now completed the final sculptures which are on display outside the school's main entrance.
