The Artsmark is an Arts Council award given to schools that can demonstrate the strength of their arts education (including art, dance, drama and music). There are three possible levels of award: Artsmark, Artsmark Silver and Artsmark Gold. Ashmount was awarded Artsmark Silver in 2006, and in May 2009 the school achieved Artsmark Gold in recognition of our 'commitment to, and excellence in, arts education'.

The National Healthy Schools Programme is a joint initiative of the Department of Health and the Department for Education. In order to achieve Healthy School Status, schools must demonstrate their provision and commitment across four core themes: Personal, Social, Citizenship and Health Education; healthy eating; physical activity; and emotional health and wellbeing.

The (then) Department for Children, Schools and Families awarded the Activemark in 2008 to primary schools where 90% or more of pupils across the school - that is, significantly above the national average - were participating in at least two hours of high quality PE and school sport each week.

Ashmount has achieved the Silver Award from Eco-Schools, an international organisation that guides schools towards embedding the principles of sustainability into the heart of school life.
