We head off for school at 08:45 a.m. and get there at about 09:05 and the bell rings at 09:10. Once we’re in the classroom Ms Boswell does the register, then shows us what to do in Maths. If it is an assembly day (Monday, Wednesday or Friday) we go to the hall at 10:30, then we go out for playtime at 10:45. During play we either play footie, bat and ball or on the playground markings. Next we go back upstairs and start our Literacy lesson and we do that for 1 hour. Then we do guided reading which involves activities such as comprehension, handwriting and reading on your own. At 12:30 we go down to our playground and play until our class’s lunch bell rings, then we go into our lunch hall and have packed lunch or school dinners. Next we have the choice of going to games club, choir, or again playing outside.
Once we have finished lunch break we go up and do the afternoon register. Then we do topic . For topic we either do history or R.E. (religious education). We usually do that until 3:15, then our teacher reads SUPERFUDGE (the book we read as a class). By the time we have done ten minutes of that reading it’s home-time, then some people go to after-school club, recorder club, football club etc. The after-school clubs are really good because they’re all run by teachers from this school. Here is a list of some of the people who run them:
Salman Ali - Sports
Candy McCarton - Play Centre
Sally Greener - Art Workshop
Laura Maple - Music
After that we go home at about 4:30 and arrive home at 4:45.
Thanks for reading this!
