Your Questions Answered

What kind of religious education will my child receive?

Ashmount is a community school and so takes a multi-cultural approach to religious education. The school conforms to the syllabus agreed by Cambridge Education @ Islington for religious education. The syllabus is mainly Christian in approach, but treats all denominations equally. In addition, aspects of Judaism, Islam and Hinduism are studied.

While the school has to teach R.E., parents have the right to remove their children from religious education and the act of worship which must be part of the daily assembly. Please discuss this with the Headteacher first if you wish to exercise this right.
